I felt like throwing up

My friend, who was sitting across the table, set his coffee down with a sigh. He looked out at me over the rim of his glasses and said:

“He didn’t even finish! He basically ran off with thousands of dollars.”

My friend was taking his coffee roasting business online. He shopped around and went with a freelancer who gave him “the best quote” and they put pen to paper.
